The inspiration behind LOCAL's menu reflect Chef Tracy Miller's classic and diverse culinary influences, and yet her interpretation of these influences consistently lead her back to creating food that is distinctly contemporary and, as our name would have it, local.

As a result, LOCAL's refined American dishes combine four of the qualities we value most: integrity, style, restraint, and playfulness. Motivated by Chef Miller's personal mission to shape the dining experience around culinary details that surprise and satisfy guests from beginning to end, we welcome guests with a small bowl of warm spiced nuts and a petite soup amuse, and say goodbye with our cranberry thumbprint mignardise. This insistence on honoring the smallest details underlies the very rhythm of the restaurant, including our service.

Chef Miller's vision of offering a dinner experience capable of transporting even our most discerning guests inspires and guides the entire staff: her devoted culinary team lead by sous chef, to whom Aureliano "Audi" Mendoza and Claudia Rodriguez are invaluable, pastry chef Aliza Shier, and, in the front-of-the-house, the extraordinary and reportedly ninja-like Efren Ramirez and Javier Lopez, who have supported a host of passionate and committed servers without whom our team would not be complete.
